OUR MANUFACTURING PROCESS FLOW

RECYCLED PAPER STORAGE:
Our product is made of 100% recycled paper and water. To learn more about where we get our materials and the sustainability of molded pulp, click here.
RECYCLED WATER TANK:
Water removed from the formed product is pumped into the recycled water storage tank. The recycled water is continually fed to the forming tank. This water is also used to stock the pulping system.
PULPING SYSTEM:
Recycled newspaper, purchased from local businesses, is mixed with recycled water in our pulping system.
PULP STORAGE:
The pulp mixture that is prepared in the pulping system is pumped to the pulp storage tank. The pulp mixture is continually fed to the forming tank.
TRANSFER PROCESS:
The molded fiber product is pulled up from the molding die to the transfer die using compressed air. A vacuum is used to hold the product while it is transferred to the conveyor oven.
DIE CUTTING:
Should your molded fiber need to be cut for practical use or a cleaner look, we can do it in house!
PRESSED FINISH:
If your application requires a more finished look, we can press our product for a professional appearance.
CONVEYOR OVEN:
The product is placed onto the conveyor oven using compressed air. The product is fully dried by moving through the conveyor oven.
FORMING SYSTEM:
In the forming tank, the pulp mixture is molded onto the tooling using a vacuum process. For a more detailed look at our tooling click here.
VACUUM SYSTEM:
A vacuum pump pulls the excess water from the molded fiber product through the molding die. The water is then pumped back into the recycled water storage tank.
